Whole Group Lesson
My social studies lesson came from an article I found in Time for Kids magazine. The article was about the value of pennies. More specifically, the article focused on a question of "Should the US should keep pennies or get rid of them?" This article gave me a great idea to allow the students to have an educated debate, defending their stances and citing references from the text. Below is the attached form of my lesson plan.
